Join Jonathan Miller and Josh Butson from skithehimalayas.com on the Annapurna Circuit trek 4/10/2011-4/24/2011.
The Annapurna circuit in Nepal is one of the most heralded treks on earth. Winding from the lowly jungle in Besisehar and ending in the arid upper reaches of the Kali Gan Daki Valley in Jomsom, the Annapurna circuit follows the back side of the striking Annapurna range and tops out at 17,600′. This twelve day trek reveals the simple living of nepali culture unreachable by road and the welcome sunrise on the morning venturing over the 17,600′ Thorung La Pass has converted many trekkers into climbers, one glimpse of the high Himalaya from this vantage is all it takes to be hooked by these mountains.
The majesty of the mountains is a perfect match for the professional and sincere service provided by the local Nepali staff that Ski The Himalayas has worked with since 2002. Each day, 5 to 6 hours of hiking with a light day pack will bring the group to tea houses or a camp site where the staff from Mountain tribes will care for your needs. The local expedition Sardir will ensure sanitary conditions and wholesome meals so that you can focus on the hike up the trail rather than a grumble in your stomach. This unparalled service of combining local knowledge and Western guides completes a tour of the Himalayas unlike any other and at a price that will leave you wondering what to do next!
Join Jonathan Miller and Josh Butson this April as they guide the group through the culture and landscape of the region, offering enriching tales and advice from experiences gathered on past expeditions on mountains in this range and helping enlighten trekkers as to the secrets of the high mountains to make your trek an engagingly smooth and comfortable journey.
